Day 1
Arrive from Quito on LA1449 to Lima airport reception and private transfer with Lima-based guide to Paracas, about 4 hours. We have two nights confirmed at the Hotel Hacienda Paracas (ASP xxxx) flight times will be confirmed locally. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 2
We include the overflight from Pisco airport, either in the morning or in the afternoon, according to local weather conditions. Time and weather permitting, we also include the Ballestas Island excursion. The guide will manage timing. Late-afternoon return to Lima, and overnight in Superiorrooms in Casa Andina Private Collection in Miraflores (ASP 106564). Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 3
Private transfer to the airport for check in to LAN2027 9:30am/11am to Cuz. Cusco airport reception and transfer to Novote
l or Similarities for one night accommodation in contemporary rooms. After settling in, you enjoy a 3 hour orientation walking tour of the colonial heart of the city. We include a visit to the Cathedral, Hatun Rumiyoq, Plaza Regocijo, and Koricancha templo.
Day 4
We visit Sacsayhuaman, then drive to Pisaq to enjoy the market and surrounding village and Inca ruins. We include lunch at a simple country restaurant in Pisaq. We continue to Ollantaytambo, tour the sun temple and village, before reaching Hotel Pakaritampu for overnight in Superior rooms (ASPxxxx). We include lunch, dinner is on your own.
Day 5
Board the 8:53 am/10:26 Peru Rail 501 train to Aguas Calientes. You’ll be met at the station by our Aguas Calientes-based guide, who assists you in checking into the hotel. Then travel by shuttle bus to the citadel, and enjoy a full-day guided exploration of the citadel and surrounding trails. Lunch is on your own. One night accommodation in Hotel Machupicchu Pueblo, in superior rooms (ASP xxxx). Dinner is included at the hotel.
Day 6
We include shuttle bus tickets, and citadel entry ticket today.You arrive to the Machupicchu citadel today via shuttle bus to enjoy optional exploration of the famous site. Those who want to observe sunrise at the citadel should be up early to board a 5:30am shuttle bus. Return to Aguas Calientes by shuttle bus in early afternoon, in time to board the Vistadome 32, 3:20pm/5:05pm bus back to Poroy station. Important: this is a very busy time at Machupicchu, and the lines to board the shuttle buses can be very long. We suggest you plan your return to Aguas Calientes for no later than 12:30pm
Poroy station reception and transfer to the Novotel for one night accommodation in contemporary rooms. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 7
We transfer you at 7:15am to the bus station for the Turismo Mer Full-day group bus tour to Puno, arriving to Puno terminal around 6:00pm. Bus station reception and transfer to Casa Andina Collection for two nights accommodation in Superior rooms (ASPxxxx). Lunch is included, dinner is on your own.
Day 8
Transfer to the port at 8:00am for the full-day private Uros/Taquile excursion. We stop for an hour at a floating reed island Uros community, then continue on to Taquile Island. Here we hike up to the community center for lunch. After lunch we have time to explore the local trails before returning to the boat for the trip back to the mainland. We return to the hotel around dusk. We include lunch. Dinner is on your own.
Day 9
We depart the hotel early, and spend the morning with private guide birding amid the totarales in the Reserva Nacional de Titicaca in Puno Bay. Returning to the mainland, we have lunch in La Casona Restaurant in the center of Puno. After lunch we drive an hour south across the Altiplano to the burial tower site of Cutimbo, sited on a mesa overlooking the lake Titicaca basin. Return to Puno, pick up our stored luggage, have dinner and continue to Juliaca airport for check-in to LA2092, 9:25pm/11:05pm to Lima. Lima airport reception and transfer to Hotel Casa Andina Private Collection for 2 nights accommodation in superior rooms (ASPxxxx). We include Lunch: dinner is on your own.
Day 10
Open day for optional touring. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Please note: Lima’s upscale restaurants are very popular both with visitors and with Lima residents. If you hope to enjoy an aspirational dinner at a big-name restaurant, you must make reservations well in advance of your visit. Check individual restaurant websites and use their “contact us” pages to reserve a table.
Day 11
Hotel check-out time is noon. You may store your luggage with reception until your departure. At 4:15 we transfer to th Lima’s airport for check-in to
