You will be picked up from your hotel at 1:30 in the afternoon, we will start our activity with City Tour. We will visit the Cathedral of Cusco, which has been built on the palace Quishuarcancha simiento Inca; In it one can appreciate the phonemes of syncretism, which means the juxtaposition of Andean figures or elements placed with sobriety within pictorial paintings or paintings; For example, one can find the famous Andean mermaid that is half woman and half of the potato or the Last Supper in Andean version, in which the guinea pig has been painted instead of roasted lamb. Only in this church there are an average of 350 oil paintings. The next attraction is the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, which is the largest Adorator, located in the center of the city itself; There were chapels or rooms dedicated to the Inca gods; Many of them have been destroyed and the Church and the Monastery of Santo Domingo have been built on Inca monuments. After Qoricancha we will continue to the outskirts of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman the only megalithic construction and it has been proposed many theories or that have been asked important questions. What techniques have been applied to temper or amalgamate the lytic structures? What techniques have been used to move the stone structures of the quarry to the building site? O What techniques have been used to cut the lithic structures of the main mass? In reality there are theories that have been proposed by foreign and local researchers, the issue is to address which of the theories would be the most acceptable.

Then we will move to another important Inca site known as Q’enqo, a kind of outcropping or intrusive rock formation and underneath the rock you can see a passageway in the living rock; Which is the temple of the mother earth; For others this is a sort of Adoration, it was the place where the priests, the Inca, philosophers, agoreros, fortune-tellers ingested psychotropic substances to enter in a state of ecstasy and to contact the spiritual world of their ancestors; In fact they were able to predict the future; This possibility has been given by the American professor Willian Sullivan in his book “The secret of the Incas”. The next attraction is Pucapucará a place of rest, Lodge type, more properly a Tambo, you can see in the Inca walls, iconographic figures as: turtle, Inca puppy, snake, llama, seal, bear, pig, etc. The last attraction will be Tambomachay called the “Bath of the Inca” better known as “The Fountain of Eternal Youth or The Source of Fertility”.

Day 03 Cusco – Sacred Valley – Cusco

valle-sagrado-2The Sacred Valley of the Incas was the equivalent of the Milky Way, consequently the Incas were able to construct their constructions or buildings following the patterns of the Milky Way: it means that the Incas saw in it the black clouds of a serpent, puma, Condor, llama, crocodile, shepherd, partridge, toad, etc .; So that along this valley you can see the contours of these constructions or settlements in the form of these constellations. Cusco has the outline of Puma, Ollantaytambo of a llama, and even Machupicchu the crocodile outline.

08:30: Cusco to Pisaq Ruins (the proper name of Pisaq is p’isaqa which means partridge) It is located in 36 km of Cusco will explore the colossal terraces for agricultural purposes, these terraces are not in use because they have been expropriated for the government; It is also very important to see the largest Inca cemetery; Inca residences located at the top of the mountains that were a class of Pucará or redoubt. Pisaq market, located at the bottom of the ruins is not a typical market anymore, 10 years ago used to be, but today it is more than typical of a commercial market. The town of Urubamba, located an hour from the Market of Pisaq, is a special place to have lunch. After lunch you will continue with Ollantaytambo, which is half an hour from Urubamba, which is really impressive because it has been designed in the form of a llama; It is the special place to approach the Inca architecture, the techniques to move the giant rocks of the quarry there, the techniques to adjust or temper the lithic structures in the walls, the techniques to cut the giant rocks of the main mass and thus successively. And the last attraction is the Ruins and the Inca Village of Chincheros; Was the private residence of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, son of Pachacuted who was the greater Inca ruler. After this it is to Cusco, which is almost the whole day.
