We will star visiting the Cusco’s main church the Cathedral which’s been built over the Quishuarcancha palace incan foundation; one can see important feature such as assimilation fenomena, it means andean figures or elements have been placed soberly within the oil paintings or wooden art in a hidden way; for instance one can find the famous andean mermaid which is half woman and half potato or the Last Super in Andean version in which has been set the roasted guinea pig instead of roasted lamb. Just in this church there
are an average of 350 oil paintings. The next attraction is Qoricancha the temple of the sun, it’s the greatest shrine, located in the middle of incan downtown; there were inside it chapels or chambers dedicated to the incan gods many of them tore down so over the incan foundation of it has been built Santo Domingo Church. Later on, we will drive to the northern outskirts of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman the sole megalithic construction and from it’s laid many theories or it’s been formulated important questions. What kind of technics have been applied to templete or match the giant boulders?. What kind of technics have been used to move the giant boulder from the quarry to there? or What kind of technics have been used to crack the piece of stone from the main mass?. Actually there are suppositions which have been proposed by stranger and local scholars, the idea is to tackle them in order to see the pretty acceptable one
Then, we will move onto another important Inca site known as Qenqo, a kind of rock outcrop below under the rock can be seen passageway carving on living rock; it’s the the temple of the mother earth; eventually for others this being a kind of shrine was the place where the priests, the inca himself, philosophers, soothsayers, fortune tellers drunk psychotropic medicines to help their bodies get rid of toxins; actually they were able to forsee their future with this hallucinogens such Ayahuasca or San Pedrito; this idea has been given by american scholar Willian Sullivan in his book “The Secret of the Incas”. The next one is Pucapucara a kind of place for resting (lodge), on the walls of it can be seen iconographical figures such as seal, pig, snake, llama, tortoise, incan dog and a happy puppy. The last one is Tambomachay called the “Bano del Inca” the incas’s bath. Known us Fertility Fountain or Eternal Youth Fountain.

Day 03 Cusco Sacred Valley
Sacred Valley of the Incas was the counterpart of the Milky Way so Incas were able to set their construction or setlements following the patterns of the Milky Way: it means Incas saw in it black clouds a Snake, Puma, Condor, llama, alligator, shepherd, partridge, toad, etc; so along this valley one can see the setlements’ outlines in the shape of these constellation. Cusco has the outline of Puma, Ollantaytambo of a llama and even Machupicchu the outline of Alligator.
08:30: Cusco to Pisaq Ruins (the proper name of Pisaq is P’isaqa which means partridge) It’s located at 36 km of Cusco to explore in it colosall terraces for agriculture, these terraces are not in using anymore because they have been expropriated by the government; It’s also really nice to see the largest inca cementery, incan residences located on top of the mountains which were a kind of Pucara or
redoubt. Pisaq Market located at the botton of the ruins is not a tipical market anymore, 10 years ago it used to be but nowadays more than tipical is a commercial markets. Urubamba town, located one hour down of Pisaq Market, is a especial place to have the lunch, there are crew of customers who are just coming to enjoy the Andean Gourmet. Ollantaytambo ruins, located half an hour down from Urubamba, is really awesome cause it’s been designed in the shape of a llama; It’s the sole place to talk about the Incan Architecture, the techniques to move the giant boulder from quarry to there, the techniques to template or match these boulders on the walls, the techniques to split the giant boulders form the main mass and so on. And the last ruins and incan town as well is Chincheros; it was the private residence of Tupac Inca Yupanqui the son of Pachacuted who was the greatest incan ruler. After this is to Cusco, it’s almost the full day.

years after the conquest as a kind of “Shrine”, the shrines of Cusco’s sacred landscape; some were natural feature of the land, such as springs, rock outcrops, caves and lakes: others were constructed sites such as houses, walls and water channels which were associated with events in inca mythology; but not only this there are many theories proposed by local and stranger scientists.
